Rommelt Study Skills/Recess Block

We are working very hard at developing a study skills block at the end of the day. The study skills block will occur 3 times a week at the end of the day and will replace recess. We will break the students out into smaller groups to allow them to work on reading skills development. I will post more information as the study skills block gets developed.

Improving study skills is very important, but so is recess. It's a shame that the kids who are doing well will lose their recess period. I think even a 10 minute break for fresh air and exercise is so important to keep the kids energized and attentive throughout the day. After being quiet and sitting still through class, they need a chance to blow off some steam.
